About Us

St John’s Penge is situated in South East London. The parish is at the far western side of the Diocese of Rochester, where the boundary meets the Diocese of Southwark. We are situated in the London Borough of Bromley at the point where the Boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham, Lambeth and Croydon all meet.

We meet together on Sundays at 10.30am for worship which has a relaxed style. We also meet at 6.30pm on the third Sunday of the month for a quiet reflective form of worship and we share around the Lord’s Table at 12.00noon on the second Thursday of the month.

We are a welcoming family from all walks of life and a growing church. We are becoming the ‘world in a church’, a diverse community with members from across the globe, something we cherish and are excited about. We also have members of the church family serving all over the world.

We believe that the God of the Bible - who is uniquely revealed in and through Jesus Christ, the living Word - is encountered today through the empowering presence of his Holy Spirit.

We hope that everyone, including anyone unfamiliar with Christianity, will feel welcome, discover the reality of knowing God through what we do, and experience the saving power and love of God through his Spirit.
